DU hostel project was due in March 2025, still under construction

Satya Niketan building collapse, which killed seven people, has renewed focus on Delhi University's delayed hostel projects amid concerns over student accommodation. At DU's Dhaka Complex in Mukherjee Nagar, a hostel for over 1,400 students was due by March 2025, but its bhoomi poojan was held only in September 2025. Construction is still underway. The project cost was estimated at ₹318.2 crore.
