Duck Merlin, spotted in Mexico FIFA WC jersey, meets Mexican Prez

Merlin, the pet duck who went viral for wearing Mexico's football jersey at the FIFA World Cup 2026 met Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. A video showed the duck waddling onto the stage during Sheinbaum's morning press conference and taking a seat usually reserved for officials. "Merlin has been a symbol of the World Cup," Sheinbaum said.
