Due date for filing FY20 GST annual returns extended till March 31

The government on Sunday extended the due date for filing GST annual returns for 2019-20 fiscal year by a month till March 31. The due date to furnish GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C forms has been extended. The extension was given by the government "in view of the difficulties expressed by the taxpayers" in meeting the earlier time limit.
