Durex condom maker to buy baby food firm for $16 billion

Reckitt Benckiser, the maker of Durex condoms and Dettol, has agreed to buy US baby formula maker Mead Johnson Nutrition in a deal worth $16.6 billion (over ₹1.1 lakh crore). Notably, the deal marks Reckitt Benckiser’s biggest-ever takeover. Following the acquisition of Mead Johnson, China will become Reckitt's second-largest market behind the United States.
