Dying Kanwar lake in Bihar is a vital waterbody but not poll issue

The apalling condition of Bihar's Kanwar Lake was not an issue in ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The lake, located in Begusarai district that went to polls on May 13, is the first and only wetland in the state of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. No political party expressed intention to save the dying but valuable waterbody.
