E-rickshaw drivers' incomes fall sharply as people use Chinese apps to switch them off

E-rickshaw drivers in Delhi have seen a sharp fall in income, from ₹1,000/day to ₹600/day in some cases, as pranksters use Bluetooth-enabled Chinese apps to switch off batteries remotely. E-rickshaw drivers claimed people asked for ₹200-500 for restarting the stalled vehicles, with one even asking for a beer. The Centre asked Google and Apple to take down seven such apps.
