Norway: Giant mirrors installed to bring sunlight to village
In Norway, three giant mirrors measuring 17-square-meter have been installed over steep mountains surrounding the village of Rjukan where the sun couldn't reach in the 6-month-long winter. $849,000 was raised for the project - an idea picked up by artist Martin Andersen that consists of computer controlled mirrors following the sun, and reflecting the sunlight on a 600-square-meter elliptical area.
