Earliest evidence of domestic dogs found in 15,800-year-old fossil

A study published in 'Nature' found the oldest archaeological evidence of domestic dogs in fossils from 15,800 years ago across Europe and Turkiye. Researchers added that dogs diverged from wolves around 20,000 to 40,000 years ago and differences in their DNA become significantly noticeable around 15,000 years ago. The study pushes back the earliest evidence of dogs by 5,000 years.
