Early humans found female mammoths easier to hunt than males: Study

A study published in 'Current Biology' said early humans found female mammoths easier to hunt as they were smaller in size, lived in herds and had predictable movement patterns. It added that 70% of mammoth bones studied from human habitation sites belonged to female mammoths. Researchers said even today male elephants are more solitary and often roam more widely.
