Early trends show Tarique Rahman-led BNP alliance leading in B'desh polls

Early trends in Bangladesh’s general election results show the BNP-led alliance, headed by Tarique Rahman, taking an initial lead. An ABP News report said BNP is ahead in 32 seats, Jamaat-e-Islami in 12, while NCP and the Jatiya Party are leading in one seat each. Voting concluded at 4:30 pm in 299 constituencies, with turnout at 47.91% till 2 pm.
