Earth & Mars formed differently despite same origins: Study

A study has found that Earth and Mars formed differently despite developing from the same cloud of gas and dust. Researchers said at least 75% of Earth's mass came from protoplanets, while planetesimals contributed up to 25%. In contrast, about 75% of Mars' mass came from planetesimals, with the rest formed through pebble accretion.
