Earth and Mars may have formed from similar material: Study

A recent study suggested that Earth is likely made entirely of materials from inner Solar System. Earlier theories had stated Earth's building blocks partly came from beyond Jupiter. Study analysed meteorite isotope data and found that Earth and Mars likely originated from same reservoir of rocky matter. Material from outer Solar System accounts for less than 2% of Earth's mass.
