Earth to get a new 'mini-moon' for two months from September 29

Earth will gain a temporary 'mini-moon' in the form of asteroid 2024 PT5, as per a new research. The asteroid, measuring about 10 metre in diameter, will loop around the Earth from September 29 to November 25, when it'll break free from Earth's gravity and resume orbiting the Sun. It'll follow path around Earth as it has relatively low velocity.
