Earthquake hits China, days after devastating floods

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 on the Richter scale has hit Longchang City in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The China Earthquake Networks Centre said the quake hit at 1:13 pm (10:43 am IST) at a depth of 13 kilometres. This comes a day after a 3.2-magnitude earthquake hit Nepal and two days after flash floods hit China, Tibet and Nepal.
