Earthquake of 4.7 magnitude hits Jamshedpur in Jharkhand

Jharkhand's Jamshedpur was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 at 6:55 am on Friday. There were no immediate reports of loss of life or property following the tremors. Earlier, an earthquake was also reported in Karnataka's Hampi, however, Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre later clarified that it was a false alarm.
