Earthquake of 6.1 magnitude hits Hindukush region, tremors felt in North India

An earthquake of 6.1 magnitude hit the Hindukush region at around 5.10 pm on Friday, with tremors being felt across Delhi-NCR and parts of North India. The northern areas of the Pakistan including Peshawar and Islamabad were also jolted by earthquake tremors. An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 at Richter scale had struck 173 km North-West of Lahore on September 24.
