Eating ultra-processed foods linked to premature death: Study

The consumption of highly processed foods can be linked to premature deaths, a study stated. As per researchers, ultra-processed foods (UPFs) like packaged baked snacks, ready-to-eat meals, frozen pizza, sugary drinks and cereals can cause adverse health conditions like obesity, dementia, and cancer. UPFs are low in protein and fibre, and heavy in added sugar, fat and salt, researchers added.
