EC announces electoral roll revision in 6 states/UTs

The Election Commission ordered the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls, starting this month, in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Odisha, Sikkim, Chandigarh, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu, where SIR has been completed. The SSR involves updating the existing electoral rolls through additions and deletions, whereas the SIR involves preparing the rolls afresh.
