EC announces new symbol, name for TMC rebel faction

The Election Commission on Friday allotted a new name and symbol to the rebel TMC camp. The Ritabrata Banerjee-led faction was given the 'Envelope' symbol and named 'Democratic Trinamool Congress'. This comes after the EC had barred both TMC factions, led by Mamata Banerjee and Ritabrata Banerjee, from using the party's name and symbol for the West Bengal Assembly by-polls.
