EC asks officials to link Aadhaar with electoral roll data: Report

The Election Commission has directed officials to make "all attempts" to link Aadhaar numbers with electoral roll data to ensure proper identification of electors, according to a note circulated to Chief Electoral Officers, the Hindustan Times has learnt. The development came days after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee cited duplication in voter ID numbers (EPIC numbers).
