EC bars candidates from leaving constituencies on voting day in WB

Ahead of the first phase of West Bengal Assembly elections on April 23, the Election Commission has directed candidates to remain in their respective constituencies from 6 am until polling ends. It also directed hotels in state to not accommodate individuals who aren't residents of the local constituency. The second phase of voting is scheduled for April 29.
