EC mandates ramps for specially-abled, water, shade at polling booths

The Election Commission ordered polling stations to ensure that facilities like ramps for specially-abled, drinking water and shade are provided to voters for the Assembly elections. EC added that a toilet, benches at regular intervals, adequate lighting and signage should also be available. The Assembly elections will be held in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu in April.
