EC orders removal of Jharkhand acting DGP ahead of polls

The Election Commission has directed the Jharkhand government to immediately remove acting DGP Anurag Gupta, PTI reported quoting sources. The EC reportedly took the decision based on a history of complaints against the officer and actions taken by the poll panel in previous elections. The Jharkhand Assembly elections will take place in two phases on November 13 and November 20.
