EC recognises TVK as registered political party, allots 'whistle' symbol

Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay said on Thursday that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially recognised Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) as a political party in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The poll body has also allotted the 'whistle' as the party's official election symbol. Vijay thanked party cadres and administrators for their efforts in securing the recognition.
