EC should be a neutral body: SC in Maha political crisis verdict

The Supreme Court, in its verdict on Maharashtra political crisis involving two Shiv Sena factions, said Election Commission should remain a neutral body and shouldn't pass subjective judgment when approached by rival factions on the symbol issue. SC added EC must apply a test that's best suited to the circumstances. Earlier, EC gave the bow-and-arrow symbol to Eknath Shinde's faction.
