ECI rushed & opaque SIR is disenfranchising marginalised: Congress

Congress accused Election Commission of conducting rushed and opaque SIR of electoral rolls across several states, alleging process is leading to large-scale voter deletions and disproportionately affecting marginalised communities. Tiruvallur MP Sasikanth Senthil said preliminary data pointed to various anomalies and demanded greater transparency, including release of public white paper by ECI.
