Economy suffered $586 million hit after 'Gen Z' protests: Nepal
The 'Gen Z' protests, that forced Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to resign, caused $586 million in losses to economy, read statement from interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki's office. Infrastructure including Supreme Court, Parliament House and other complexes were destroyed, with cost of rebuilding reaching $252 million. The fund for reconstruction has collected less than $1 million so far.
