ED conducts searches against Franklin Templeton in Mumbai, Chennai

Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted searches on Franklin Templeton India's former and current executives in Mumbai and Chennai. The searches are in connection with irregularities regarding withdrawals of investments from six debt schemes before they were closed on April 23, 2020. Searches took place at residences of Vivek Kudva, former Asia-Pacific head, and his wife, among others.
