ED probes Mohali's Purab Apartments over ₹51 crore excess payment

The Enforcement Directorate has turned its focus to Mohali's Purab Premium Apartments project in Sector 88 examining alleged excess payment of ₹51.33 crore to contractor Simplex Infrastructure. The project, conceived in 2011 and completed only in 2024, faced repeated cost revisions, defective construction, and delays. ED is reviewing payment records, quality assessments, and contract awards.
