ED searches premises of Tamil Nadu minister K Ponmudy, his son

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting searches at the premises linked to Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy and his son and DMK leader Gautham Sigamani in connection with a money laundering case, officials said. In 2020, the ED issued a seizure order against Sigamani's assets, which had been estimated to be worth about ₹8.60 crore.
