ED summons TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee in primary teacher recruitment scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) visited TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's residence in Kolkata's Kalighat area to serve him a summons in connection with an alleged primary teachers' recruitment scam. Banerjee has been asked to appear before the ED on June 15. The probe is linked to a money laundering case in which ex-minister Partha Chatterjee was arrested in 2022.
