Egypt officially blocked the online gaming platform Roblox, citing concerns that it promotes content harmful to children. The move follows regional restrictions imposed in August and September 2025 by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Oman over child safety concerns. In 2025, US' Louisiana filed a lawsuit accusing Roblox of facilitating child exploitation, an allegation it denied.
