Egypt registered their first-ever FIFA World Cup victory, coming from behind to beat New Zealand 3-1 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group G clash in Vancouver. New Zealand took the lead in the 15th minute, with Egypt equalising in the 58th minute. Mohamed Salah gave Egypt 2-1 lead in the 67th minute before Trezeguet made it 3-1.
