The Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, has announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on July 7 in India as the moon could not be sighted on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, the government had announced a holiday for Eid on July 7 for its offices. Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan.
