Eiffel Tower's 137-year-old staircase sold for ₹5 cr at auction

A segment of Eiffel Tower's original staircase dating back to 1889 was sold at an auction in Paris for around €450,000 (over ₹5 crore) on Thursday. The 137-year-old, 14-step staircase section is 9-feet tall and weighs around 1,270 kg. Around 526-feet of the original staircase were cut into smaller sections and sold in 1983 as they were replaced by elevators.
