Eight years after debut, Sanju Samson hits maiden ODI hundred

Being put in to bat first by South Africa, India started strong before Rajat Patidar fell for 16-ball 22 in the fifth over. That brought Samson to the crease, playing just his 16th ODI. After starting cautiously and easing into his innings gradually, Samson brought up his long-awaited maiden ODI hundred in the 44th over, flexing his biceps in celebration.
