Eknath Shinde resigns as Maharashtra CM, asked to continue as caretaker CM

Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde resigned from the CM post on Tuesday. He submitted his resignation to Governor CP Radhakrishnan, who has asked him to serve as caretaker CM for the time being. Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were also present with him. His resignation came amid suspense over who'll be the next Maharashtra CM.
