Election Commission releases statement, issues clarification on SIR and Form 6 amid row

Amid ongoing row, Election Commission issued clarification on SIR and Form 6. It said BLOs will visit homes of people who have been issued notice during ongoing SIR over being unmapped and logical discrepancies. It added, "Declaration attached to Form 6 for SIR has been upheld by Supreme Court. For non-SIR periods, form applicable as per rules will be used."
