Elephant dies due to electrocution in Assam's Kaziranga National Park

Forest officials informed that an elephant had died due to electrocution at Burapahar Tea Estate in Assam's Kaziranga National Park on Friday. P Sivakumar, Director, Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, confirmed that the area where the accident took place falls under the Hatidandi animal corridor. The elephant died after it reportedly came in contact with an electric transformer.
