Elephant Erika rescued in 2013, takes evening walks with herd now
Erika is a 65-year-old elephant in Haryana's Elephant Rehabilitation Centre in Ban Santour who was rescued from begging on the roads in 2013. She is now the dominant elephant of her own herd and decides the pace of their evening walks. Erika has also helped other elephants, Lilly and Jasmine, to settle in at the rehabilitation centre.
