Elephants return after govt clears illegally encroached field in Assam; CM shares video

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a video showing elephants roaming freely in a field. "3 decades of illegal encroachment, cleared 3 years ago & Nature has reclaimed what was rightfully Hers. The majestic elephants are back at the southern periphery of Sonai Rupai Wildlife Sanctuary. Eviction DOES result in restoration and its continuation will be OUR policy," he wrote.
