Ellen Pompeo leaves Grey's Anatomy after 19 seasons, says 'I'll be back to visit'

Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey on ABC's medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy', is leaving the show after a 19-season-long run. "I'm eternally grateful and humbled by the love and support you have all shown me...The show must go on and I'll definitely be back to visit," Pompeo wrote in an Instagram post. Her last episode will air in February 2023.
