Elon Musk's $54 billion salary is a problem: Abhijit Banerjee

Abhijit Banerjee, Nobel Laureate, said a CEO earning a million times more than the lowest-paid worker, citing Elon Musk's reported $54 billion package, being socially acceptable is 'a problem'. He noted that in Germany, Denmark and Sweden the pay band stays small and warned that worshipping the market this much eventually undermines social equilibrium.
