Eminent Assamese artist Neelpawan Baruah dies at 84

Eminent Assamese artist Neelpawan Baruah died at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital on Friday, after a period of prolonged illness. Baruah was 84. "He pursued art with dedication for several decades and his death is an irreparable loss. I pray for the departed soul and extend my heartfelt condolences to his kin," said Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
