Eminent Assamese writer Atulananda Goswami passes away at 87

Sahitya Akademi Award winner Atulananda Goswami, acclaimed for short stories and novels, died at a hospital in Guwahati on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma condoled the 87-year-old writer's demise. Apart from the Sahitya Akademi Award, Goswami had also received the Kumar Kishor Memorial Award, the Katha Award and the Sneha Bharati Sahitya Samman.
