India's most prominent political scientist Rajni Kothari passed away, Monday, aged 85. Kothari was the founder of the reputed Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, an author of several books, and also a former member of the Planning Commission. He was also a cardinal civil liberties activist, who also published essays on the Indian politics in the early 60s.
