Emirates bans pagers, walkie talkies after Lebanon blasts

Weeks after the pager and walkie talkie explosions in Lebanon, which was blamed on Israel, Emirates has banned both the devices on all its flights. "Such items found in passengers' hand luggage or checked baggage will be confiscated by Dubai Police," the airline stated. Emirates has extended flight cancellations for certain Middle East destinations due to the escalating regional tensions.
