Employees who fear AI replacement show worse workplace behaviour: Study
A US study found that workers who fear AI could replace their jobs are more likely to engage in counterproductive workplace behaviour. Researchers surveyed workers across 18 industries and found they were more likely to justify inappropriate actions, such as slacking off or arriving late. These effects were stronger in industries more exposed to AI disruption, the study added.
