Enactment vs Enforcement: Know the dates that matter

A law is enacted when it gets the President's assent and becomes official. However, it is enforced only when the government notifies its implementation date, which may differ. For instance, the CrPC was enacted on January 25, 1974 but enforced from April 1, 1974. Knowing this distinction is key for CLAT PG, AIBE, and judiciary exams.
