Encounter specialist sub-inspector Daya Nayak has been suspended from Maharashtra Police, revealed a government official on Friday. However, he didn't disclose the reason behind the move. Nayak, a 1995-batch police officer, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch in 2006 after a former journalist complained that he owned assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
